Does anyone know Princess' smoking policy? I believe I read somewhere that no smoking was allowed in the dining rooms. Is smoking allowed in the cabins?

By the way, I don't smoke, but my roommate does.

Thanks!

I am not sure if it is ship by ship, but the Grand Princess allows smoking in your cabins. If you have a balcony, be sure that you use your ashtry and watch for flying ashes. Your neighbors may not smoke, so try and be a good neighbor when doing so. Smoking was allowed at the bar and one section of the Wheelhouse Lounge, on the promenade deck and at the adult pool, keeping in mind that the folks next to you might not smoke. That being said, I would walk up the first flight of stairs where there were stools and long bar - that is where most people would have their cigarette and then go back to their chairs.

Princess has a smoking policy similar to almost every other major cruise lines. There is no smoking allowed in any dining room and also no smoking in the main theater. In most of the other public areas (and rooms) they will have one side for smokers and another side for non-smokers. On deck, they do not seem to have any rules regarding cigarettes. You may smoke in your cabin or on your balcony. There is also smoking everywhere in the casino. Its getting to be a tough world for smokers, but its still tougher for those with Asthma or other allergies that have attacks due to 2nd hand smoke.

We were told that on top of the deck the ash trays are on the port side of the ship. We noticed that on the Coral, Pacific and the Sun princess ships. You can smoke in your room.
