Where do you get your best pre/post cruise hotel deal?

Hi. We are all booked for our Southern Carribbean Golden Princess cruise.
I want to book a hotel 1 night pre-cruise, but since we are going the Feb. presidents day week (I teach so I don't have another week to choose) and the rate I am getting for 1 night at the hotel we want is pretty high.
Any recommendations for hotel deals?

Or should I book my hotel with Princess?

Since the Golden is leaving out of Puerto Rico, you are going during Caribbean high season, which lasts from December to April - so hotel rates will be high. What range of price are you looking for?
