View Full Version : Robes in cabin
How do you get a robe put in your. Do you ask your room stewart or are they put in automacticly. I am running out of room in my suitcase don't want to bring mine if I don't have to. I still don't have a cabin hopefully I won't have to sleep in a lifeboat.

On your next cruise you can request it in the personalizer. This time ask your cabin steward. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Sue's absolutely right..in a perfect world, they would take your info from the Personalizer. But I've heard fo some folks who had requested robes via the Personalizer not have them so they just asked their room steward..no muss, no fuss....defeintely do not pack one! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Enjoy your upcoming cruise!

Yep, on the cruise personalizer, my husband put my 40th bday celebration and also requested robes and all kinds of other requests, didn't get any of it. Except on the very last night, they sang to me in the dining room, said they had just received a note in their box or something. Didn't get any balloons or nothing like I saw everyone else have on their doors http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif.
So, don't rely on the personalizer. And yes, your steward will get ya robes, which were so nice to have.

We entered on the personalizer that we would like robs and we did't get them. Shortly after we boarded the ship and were checking out our cabin, our cabin attendant knocked at our door to introduce herself and welcomed us back. We asked her, when she got time (we knew that boarding day is a very busy time for them) if we could get robes and a fruit basket. She was wonderful, had both in our room by the time we came back from embark buffet and short tour of the ship.

Always measure twice and cut once, put it in personalizer, then ask the steward if it isn't there, near as I can tell the personalizer is like the just-for-show thermostat, lets us feel involved but isn't really attached to anything.

Robes and a fruit basket? was the fruit through room service, or the room stewart? Was there a fee for that?

It is on the personalizer and yu can order whatever fruit you like, no charge. I have learned today that you cannot count on the personalizer!! Ask you cabin steward and he will bring the fruits you like, and replenish each day. you can find the fruits offered on the personalizer. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

minnjudy Fruit basket was ordered through room steward, there was no charge for it. I guess I really shouldn't use the term basket. Our fruit arrived in a nice shiny bowl accompanied by a knife for cutting the fruit. At the first night turndown service, we found a card on our bed (along with our chocolates) that could be used to replenish our fruit if we desired. All we had to do was check the type of fruit we wanted replenished and it was delivered the next day. My husband is a real fruit person and enjoyed this aspect of the cruise very much.

If you request robes for the week, they are lightweight, and they pick them up the last nite. If you dont return them, you will be charged a certain amt. You can also purchase robes in the gift section that are plush, and are, I believe $99.00

Waffle weave or very light weight terry cloth is not very water absorbent, and basically a cover up. Plush terry is heavy and very thick and water absorbent. One is cheap and one rich. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Chris - talk about confused - http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif you did clear up the differences in the robes - great pic's. Still curious about shampoo in minisuites - we are booked in D728 - July 3, 2004 - want to know is the shampoo in dispensers on the wall in the shower or in little bottles. Plus I'm hearing different things about there being an arcade on the ship. I really enjoy reading what you always have to say - very informative..enjoy your cruise.......thanks again..NancyK http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I wouldn't trust the Cruise Personalizer. Everything I put in it wasn't even acknowledged. For the robe, just ask your cabin steward when you meet him/her.

Are the plush robes large enough to go around a rather "plus sized" person. My travel companion is rather large and as I remember, the waffle robe fit more like a hospital gown (never quite made it completely around).
