What is it? All are great, high end,but I believe Oceania has best iternary/ports! After studying ALL brochures from each, that is my conclusion.Am I right? The ships are all great!!!!

Sorry,
Princess is not high end and cannot be put in the same category as the other 3 lines..it is definitely mass market..

Haven't been on Radison, but I prefer Oceania to Crystal. I found many of the mid-management types on Crystal to be overly impressed with their own importance (equalling stuffed shirts!).

Although not high-end by any means, I do believe Princess offers the best variety of itineraries (easy to do with the number of ships they have).

Having been on all of them would say Oceania mostly compares to Radisson ( now called Regent by the way) in size. "O".. wins for me in being the most beautiful ships at sea. The itineraries on "O" are fantastic..although I wish they would add a few new ones to what they have, as having done almost all of them would like them to go to some new lands.
( hint hint )..
Regents cruises are usually 7 days and in that time you certainly can't cover very much ( in the way of ports) although their next years itinies are interesting and there are some longer ( 14 days) cruises.
But, their prices are getting out there ..
Crystal is more formal and more people and also still has that horrendous ship pick your table mates for the entire cruise "pre-assigned" dining routine.
Princess is not in any of the 3 's league IMHO...as Jan referred to it..mass market...although I like Princess and even just booked on her Tahitian Princess for Tahiti cruise...but ,of course that ship is a sister ship to O's so.........................

This question is unrelated to this thread. However, you have been my go to answer lady in the past. Do the cabins have an adequate supply of garment hangers or should we pack some of our own? On prior cruises (not Oceania) we found them to be in short supply. Since we are packing for an extended vacation, we would prefer to hang our garments so that they can un-wrinkle somewhat rather than keep them in suitcases or bureaus. Perhaps, this is a trivial question.

Hangers not a trivial question at all - you answered one of my questions too! The other part of this - how much closet space do we have? (We're in a penthouse suite.) Thanks!

I don't like friends to be confused "now" or later:D

Soon as we arrive I geat rid of the wooden hangers (they take up too much room) and replace with my wire hangers with round cardboard bottoms.
I can get many more things in the closet that way. Also, I hang wrinkled
things up in the shower to steam out. Usually bring about 20 hangers-they take up little room & are far more convenient than the wooden ones supplied by the ship.

Hi Jan,

We do the same thing -- we always call the room steward to give them back the wooden hangers. We pack all our hanging clothes on the hangers and plastic bags from the cleaners. This way they don't wrinkle. We also use 2 gallon ziplock bags for our folded clothes -- we had our luggage get wet during a storm and all our clothes got wet and had to be cleaned or washed.

We stayed in an inside cabin and had tons of closet space. I was prepared fpr a major snit when DH unpacked first and used up all the drawers....

I put all my stuff in the large angle shaped cabinet and had tons of room. I could make at least 3 piles on each of two shelves in the cabinet and there was lots of room to slide them around for access. Worked so well for me that I plan to use the same space on our Lisbon to Rio in Nov. We have the same room booked.

I did some laundry in the sink and hung it on the line in the shower. DH is allergic to most detergent so we couldn't use the washers as they dispense the detergent. I did make use of the ironing board which never had a line of people waiting for it. And since its just down the hall from our room, it was easy.

I'm going to pack some wire hangers and get some big ziplock bags. I don't think I've seen the 2 gallon size in Canada, but I will be south of the border before Nov. It's only an hours drive.

The new weight restrictions are a pain. I used to pack about 50 lbs and use the other 20 for purchases. Now packing is approaching an art form, to get it all in and have room for the goodies we buy. Of course on a transatlantic, with limited ports, opportunities for shopping will be fewer. Probably a good thing.
