We are new tlo HAL.........I thought I read somewhere on the boards that you can make a reservation in the Pinnacle before your cruise. Is this possible or do we have to wait until we are on the cruise? If we can do it before, HOW? Thanks

Yes, you certainly can book in advance by contacting Ship Services.

You can contact Ship Services - but we read here on cc that you should wait until you board the cruise to book. They do not schedule to formal nights (or don't release that information for some reason) until the cruise date arrives. So, if you schedule ahead, you may schedule the Pinnacle on a formal night - these nights are the Surf & Turf (steak and lobster tail) and Crab Legs nights - IMHO the best food on the menu. :)
I'm sure you can change your reservation if you happen to schedule it on one of the formal nights - probably without a penalty.

You can call ship services at 1-800-541-1576 to make reservations for the Pinnacle.
What ship and when are you cruising. Some of here may be able to tell you exactly what nights are formal, etc.

We made two reservations before the cruise last year. We confirmed when we boarded. No problems and very easy. Typically the days at sea are the formal days. Just contact Ship Services

Thanks for your help..............Just for the record, if you make the reservation before your cruise your credit card is charged immediately and there is no guarantee that the reservation will hold, however they will refund if there is a problem. If you have a voucher for the Pinnacle, as a promotion, you can NOT make the resevation before the sailing., Once again, thanks and this was just FYI:)
