We will be on the ms Veendam 6/11-6/18/2006. Can anyone tell me which nights will be the formal nights. Since we sail on Sunday would they be on Tuesday and Friday nights?

[B]Guess I have cruised too much - pretty well know the schedules.

The captain's welcome is the first night. Since Alaska usually has different dining times than other itineraries, check your daily program for the time of your party. It is usually about 45 minutes to an hour in length.

I never understood why people worry about "when are the formal nights", you will find out on the ship.

Because some people like to go to the Pinnacle on a formal night while others prefer to dine in the dining room because of the menu. And some people call Ship Services before they cruise to make reservations for the Pinnacle.
