"Ship time" vs "local time"

I was looking at the horseback riding at St. Maarten at shoretrips.com and they suggest varifying with your cruise ship if they operate on "ship time" (based on the time of the original port) or "local time." Does anyone know what time frame the Golden Princess operates on? I always done the ship sponsored tours or just went shopping so I don't remember from our other cruises. Maybe the whole Caribbean is in the same time zone. Thanks!

On Princess cruises - we have always used "local time - the ship is on the same time as the port". I was on the Golden in November and we switched our clocks to be in sync with the island.

On my Celebrity cruise - the ship time was different then the port time.

I was on Diamond where we DID NOT change to a port's time but this was made very clear via overhead announcements.

Just got back from 15 day on regal princess Hawaii cruise. We were on real time, the same time as the port. While at sea- for the three nights we crossed the time zones we got a reminder on our pillow at night to move the clock 1 hour back each time.And again forward as we returned.
