I am booked on the Sapphire July 18th and was wondering if anyone on the Diamond could give me some info on my cabin, A514. It's an ocean-view double with balcony.

It is a standard balcony cabin 237 s.f. on Aloha deck # 12. The balcony is covered and you are on the port side mid ships, should be very nice.

mid-ship... regulation-size cabin and balcony (all on the small side)...7 cabins aft of elevator...port side...right under pool deck, so watch out for sliding chairs overhead in the morning!

I would differ on it being small sized. While it is not like a HAL room with a small couch, it did have two chairs. My wife and I were comfortable in it. Could not use the balcony as it was too, too cold. Granted would not want to spend hours sitting in the chairs.

Maybe we should elaborate... balcony is 9x5 feet as compared to some other decks that are 9x9, etc. Thats why we say "small". Its a fine balcony, really. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif I love the fact that it will be covered from above.

There's another advantage to being on Aloha deck, and that is that you don't get that feeling of being among the crowd of extended balconies below.

I've now seen several references to sliding chairs overhead when on the Aloha deck. We have a mid-ship cabin on the Aloha on the Sapphire right now and I was wondering if it was really bothersome or not? If so, we may move one deck down to Baja. Does anyone know if the balconies on the Baja deck are fully covered?
Thanks,
Laura :)

Anyone else know if you can hear a lot of noise overhead from the Aloha deck midship?
Thanks,
Laura :)

Was in A 400--midship port side last week on Diamond.
Heard sliding chairs maybe 6 times during the course of the week. Was a complete non-issue.
