Is anyone else cruising the Golden Princess on either 6/27/04 or 7/4/04? We're especially interested in people from the NY metro area.

Have you ever been on the Golgen before? We've done other Princess cruises & have been pleased, but this ship is new to us.

Roamin' Ray, Never been on Princess before. We've done quite a few cruise on Celebrity,(loved them all) one on Norwegian(didn't like it at all). We are definately looking forward to this cruise- we thought the itinerary looked interesting and have heard good things about Princess. Sheila

Roaman'ray:
We are from metro NY area and will be on the Golden July 4. We've sailed the Easter, Western and Southern Carib before. Southern twice on NCL and the Eastern and Western were both on two of Carnival's newer ships. Chose this cruise because of the ports, we've done St. Thomas a 3 times and Aruba once, the other ports on this cruise are new to us. We have been very please with our Carnival experiences and could have done the Carnival Destiny's unique Southern interary, but after reading the crusie critic boards we wanted to see first hand just how much better Princess really is. Kids are really looking forward to the Fresh Water Pools. My 5 year old says the the pools on Carinval are to "spicy" for him.
