Do we use a ship tour for Berlin or get a private guide. There are 4 of us.
Please share your experiences with us.

We were on Regatta in August/05 and took the ships Streets and Canals tour. It was a 3 hour coach ride from Warnemuende to Berlin, spent about 6 hours in Berlin, then 3 hours back to the ship, with a "pit stop" along the way. The tour was a good overview of many highlights, Berlin Wall, Brandenberg Gate, Chackpoint Charlie, etc. It was a lot of on and off the bus. You might look into a private tour and you'll have Berlin at your own pace although I have no idea who has tours. Some folks stayed on the ship that day and had a wonderful time in the small town of Warnemuende.

We are on the 2007 aug 25th cruise. We will probably do the same as last time back in 2000. We rented a car and drove(very fast) to berlin in about 2 hrs. We had a tour by a company called berlin walks. It was great. We ate lunch and had plenty of time. This time we will try to book a longer tour. I am looking foward to returning to Berlin.
