Help please!! We are needing to get from the port at Southhampton to Gatwick on May 31st. Our plane leaves at 12:00 and that is a half hour too early for the Princess transfers. What options are there? Please email me with any help! IsenPedOT@aol.com

Hi - if you haven't done so yet, may I suggest you go to the "Ports of Call" forum and under "Britain" you will find lots of posts of how to get to and from Southampton and all major London airports.

Hi,
You didn't say if 12 was the time you had to be at the airport, or if it was the time of your flights.
However, one method of getting from Southampton to Gatwick is by train.
Bear in mind that 31 May is a bank holiday here in the UK, so all methods of travel are likely to be busy.
I have had a look at train times for you, and came up with the following from Southampton Central railway station (a 5/10 min taxi ride from the docks)
7.22am direct train to Gatwick, arrives 9.24am
8.19am change at Barnham (arrives at Barnham at 9.15am - leave Barnham at 9.20am)
Arrive at Gatwick at 10.25am
8.55am change at Clapham Junction (arrive at Clapham at 10.18am - leave Clapham at 10.38am)
Arrive Gatwick at 11.08am
