Just checked the Air New Zealand site and they have some specials from LAX to Papeete for $610, depending on the dates of travel. (with all extras it comes to a total of $690)
Thought we could use them but they don't have a return flight on the dates that we need it.
Anyone visiting Tahiti this year might have a look though, that is a great price for round trip airfare! And Air New Zealand is a very nice airline.
