Cab in St Thomas

Last Feb in St Thomas, we took a cab (open sided truck) to Saphire Beach. These trucks
were parked all along the cruiseship.
It was pretty pricey when the fare was charged
to each person. Are their cabs that can be had
if you walk up toward Havensight that are more
reasonably priced (say one fare for the whole
group)?

We caught a cab (open sided truck) for 4 of us I think we paid 6.00/pp from Havensight to Megans Bay. e even stopped for us to pick up beer on the way.
