If the ship docks at 08.00 on getting back to San Juan (which is what agent said, although brochure seems to imply 06.00 - Golden December 19 cruise, one week, returns San Juan December 26) - what is the earliest time at which it is safe to have a flight out of San Juan? We don't know how long it takes to get off a ship, find the cases and a taxi or how far it is to the airport
Thanks

I had a similar question about a flight out, so I called Princess and they "suggested" not to schedule a flight before 11 a.m. Their reasoning was due to customs not knowing how long that can take. Of course that jacked up the price of my flights by $300, so I just chickened out and book the flights through Princess.
Have a great time.

I would agree that you should not set a flight before 11 am. Best case scenario, you get off the boat and find your bags in time -- which, is highly doubtful. The trip to the airport is only 15 minutes.

Worst case scenario is not too good. The problem with the Sunday after Christmas is that there are many boats that arrive that day and everyone will be trying to leave. Thus, check in lines will be very long (as will the agricultural check point). Most flights on Sundays are overbooked. So, if you miss your flight, you probably would not be able to get another one out until Monday. I'd suggest paying the extra money and being assured you make your flight.
