I have some friends thinking about taking this cruise next year, but they like to spend at least one day at a beach.
I went thru the Princess shore excursions and did not see any "day at the beach" offerings.
I was wondering if any of you recent cruisers either spent some time at a beach, at what port, or if you remember seeing a beach they can just take a cab to?
Thanks for your help!

I never really spent one day on a beach in all of Auckland or Sydney -- however, if your friends is spending a few extra days in Sydney, tell them to hit Manly Beach or Bondi -- you need to take a ferry from the same area the ship docks (Circular Quay) in Sydney -- I think it's about a 1/2 hour - 45 minute ride and back.

There is a beach near the port (to the right) where the ship will probably dock in Melbourne -- I saw parasurfers (surfers using parachutes like a giant kite to surf) there but I'm not sure if it's a really nice beach or not.
