Caribbean Princess Shows

I am trying to find out about the shows in main
show room with the singers and dancers.
How many were there on the Eastern sailing and
were they very good?

We just got back Saturday from the Eastern itinerary onboard the Carribean Princess. In the Princess Theater we saw Sarge, Let's Rock, Fernandez the hypnotist and Carribean Caliente. We loved Sarge and Let's Rock. We enjoyed (but didn't love) the other two.

Princess has so many options each night that it is hard to choose. Just be aware that if you want to see the early show in the theater, you need to get there about a half hour early. The theater was standing room only for Sarge and Let's Rock.

Did you know what movies where being shown and on what days, when you first boarded? I don't want to miss any good shows but I definitely want to partake in the Movies under the Stars.
Thanks for your help. Any other tidbits that I just have to know? We are leaving in 9 days!!!

On Sunday and Monday nights they played "Somethings Gotta Give. Wednesday and Thursday they played "Intolerable Cruelty" On the other nights they had a Tina Turner Concert, Tom Jones concert and a Wizard of Oz sing along. Reservations were not necessary for the concerts and sing along.

Sarge is a comedian that does a lot of impressions. He's pretty funny.

The hypnotist was really funny during the first show. He did a second show for adults only at midnight one night. The first 45 minutes were pretty much the same, so I didn't stay. My husband did and he had the "subjects" acting like they were on the Jerry Springer show.

I was on the CP on 4/24 for the Eastern Caribbean. There was only 1 major production show in the theater and other acts were a singer/ comedian and a female singer. We also had a juggler and the hypnotist but I skipped them. I didn't care for club fusion because most seats have no view of the stage and we had to watch tv monitors to see anything. They also had Princess Idol in there every night(their version of American Idol with their own judges).
I often smelled them burning the microwave popcorn while eating late in the horizon court and couldn't arrange a reservation in the outdoor movie unless I wanted to watch it in my evening gown so book early.
I seldom sit on deck chairs but whenever I walked the decks there were chairs to be found. The one area that had a horrible smell like horse manure was by the miniature golf area.

My friend and I loved Caribbean Caliente in the Princess Theatre! We saw it twice on our May 1st itinerary.....

How early can you make a reservation for the "Movies Under the Stars"? Do they have a list of what's playing on the first day?

Yes, when you board on the first day they will have a list of what movie is being shown each night and you can make reservations immediately. I also recommend that you make reservations for any of the specialty restaurants on the first day to avoid being disappointed. Only times available after the first day were 5:30 or 9:30pm.

Oh one other thing what exactly does dining under the stars consist of..do you go get your own food and sit or are you waited on by staff?? What kind on seating ..can ya give me the whole scoop??..thanks so much,
