My fiance and I have just tenatively booked a southern Caribbean cruise on the Golden for our honeymoon next January. I love this board with all the information, but I'm now going crazy about our room! We are on Aloha, room 714. I know it has a balcony, but will we have any sun? Is there room to eat outside? Will there be noise above us from the pool area? Bottom line, do we need to ask our TA to be on the lookout for another location?

You are close, but not next to the elevators. You are just up the hall from the aft door that will take you to the Adult aft pool. You go up a few steps and you are at the aft terrace. Tables, chairs, lounges, and a bar. On either side of the terrace is an automatic door going to the horizon court. The views off the back of the ship at the terrace is outstanding. Straight back a little ways is the mid pools. The laundry room is near by. To us, http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif it is the best location on the ship.

We had no trouble with enough room for two to eat outside. If there is a band playing out by the pool it can be heard even several decks below when outside and depending on what they are playing and who is playing at times it can be heard inside but never for a long period of time.
