View Full Version : Diamond - A Few Questions

Got our cruise documents in the mail the other day for our June 12th sailing on the Diamond. A few questions -

1) Would it be safe to say that the two formal nights will be Sunday and Wednesday since they are sea days?

2) For folks who have been on this itinerary, what do you do on the last night when it docks in Victoria as far as dining? The ship docks at 7:00 PM and leaves at midnight. I guess we would like to get off and just walk around since we've never been there, but it would seem to me for Anytime Dining there will be a mad rush of folks wanting to eat at 6:00. I'm almost thinking about trying Horizon Court for dining that night and perhaps dining real late when we get back. What has others done?

3) Finally, no where in the documents does it say where exactly in Seattle the ship sails from. Seems to me this is kind of important information. Will the taxi drivers know where the ship is, when we leave our hotel (Westin) on Saturday morning?

It's hard to believe four weeks from today, we'll be heading to Seattle.

Thanks.

Second one could be on Thursday as well, since we're sailing from Ketchikan shortly after noon on that day (my wedding anniversary).

Pier 60(?) is what I've been told. Supposedly in a kind of industrial area south (I believe) of the Pier 33 area. I'm sure the cab drivers will be able to find it!

My bad. I had the two mixed up. So, I guess it's Pier 66 that is in a shopping and eating area and pier 30 (where the Diamond will be) that's in a more industrial area, right?

I knew when I was on the star last year, that one of the formal nights was not on the day we saw tray arm, cause I was with the teens for a teen dinner. I'm not sure about the other night. I don't think it matters if it's a sea day or not as to when they will have a formal night. I could be all wrong! I went on the star last year to the same places in Alaska and I remember most of it.
see ya,
Mac

Sailed the Star Princess last year. Now I'm sailing the Diamond Princess this year!
