I just picked up my cruise documents from the TA for the July 8 Alaska on the Zuiderdam. Of course I haven't been assigned a cabin yet (guarantee MM inside), but I will keep my fingers crossed for an upgrade. Now I know for sure that I will be cruising.

DH and I leave for the June 17th sailing on the Zuiderdam but we are not as lucky as you. WE CAN'T GET HAL TO SEND US OUR DOCUMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We fly out of Dallas on the 16th and as of today, HAL still has not even finished processing our documents let alone get them sent out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not enjoying my pre-cruise time at all!

Just got home and guess what's here? Our cruise doc's for the July 8th Zuiderdam!
Can't believe it's only 4 weeks away!

I have been thinking of you everyday since I read your first post and later ones. I think it is horrible the way HAL is treating you. I would be devastated too if it happened to me. Of course I only have the cruise tickets to worry about, but you have all your documents (air, cruise, transfers, etc). I hope that after this, they upgrade you to the highest category on the ship. That is the least they can do. Please keep us informed when you receive your documents. Once you receive them your mind will be a bit more at ease and you WILL enjoy your cruise.

Newbie's question re: assign cabin and/or upgrade. I booked directly w/HAL re: July 8th Alaska on the Zuiderdam in the first week of May. 2 weeks later, I received my doc with assigned cabin # - inside/handicap on the main deck (sorry left doc @work, so I can't remember the exact cabin #). Please note we are family of three, none of us need wheelchair. Am I qualified for cabin upgrade? Thank you all for the info
