What are the chances that we'd get a better price if we wait for the 2008 prices to come out, than if were to book for a similar time of year in 2007? And if it will be better, roughtly by how much??

I'd say slim to none. DCL has been raising prices every year :-(
The best discount available for most people is by booking early, so if you want to go in 07, don't delay your booking.

Book at least 1 year in advance. We were able to cut the cost in half by booking 1 year in advance.

If you book the dates for 2008 as soon as those dates come, it is likely to be much cheaper than the same dates (booked now) for 2007 because the price goes up the closer to the dates it gets.
For instance if you booked April 2007 right now- the price is going to be higher than if you booked April 2008 as soon as those dates are made available.

We decided to book for Oct. of this year because we got what we felt was a pretty good rate.........we did it through CAA (Canadian version) and got a $75 stateroom credit.
