Bring your own towels?

Do we need to bring our own beach towels or can we take the ship towels with us when we visit the beaches?

Also, (& totally unrelated) can women wear capri pants in the dining rooms? I know shorts are out, but I'm never quite sure what capris count as. I wouldn't want the waiter to kick me out!

They supply towels, shorts are NOT ok in DR for dinner but lunch and breakfast are fine and Capris are ok but not on formal obviously.

the beach towels they use are nice and you are allowed to take them off the ship to visit beaches.

The steward will tell you they are accountable for them so you must bring them back. We've asked the steward for an extra beach towel each and have always received one.

Are the pool/beach towels the size of actual beach towels or are they the smaller bath size towel? I may bring my own or buy one on the ship as a souvenir if they are the smaller bath size. I'm a newbie and will be sailing on the Diamond to Alaska on Aug. 14th.

Hi Gardeningqueen,

The beach towels they provide are beach towel size, and are blue/white stripe. Your bath towels are slightly smaller and are white. Hope this helps.

We have found them to be a slight bit smaller than regular beach towels. Kind of half way between a bath towel and a beach towel but they do work fine. No need to waste the space packing your own.
