We are anxiously awaiting the 2005 Alaskan Cruise rates and dates to be released from Princess. This will be our first Princess cruise. On DCL our TA was able to give us rates and hold the specific rooms wanted for one week prior to making the deposit. Does Princess also allow this practice?
Thanks!

Cabins can be held for a period of time based on a courtesy hold, a week is probably a push, but if your TA has a bit of pull it is possible, why wait the week?

Thanks for your response. This is a family celebration and we will be booking four rooms. We want to price compare; I will have the TA that I have used in the past hold the 4 rooms we want. My father will have his TA he has used price 4 equal rooms. We both have gotten excellent service from these TA's in the past, so we are letting price decide which one gets the business.

You used to be able to hold a cabin for a week on Princess but it now seems like the hold is only for 3 days. If the 3 days isn't long enough just have your TA call Princess and ask for an extension. If you are booking so far in advance I don't think they will have a problem accommodating your request.
Cruising! It's like being in the Garden of Eatin'!
