We have used Priceline for great deals on Vancouver hotel. I don't know about parking as we flew in.

Last July we stayed 2 nights at the Delta Suites, we booked thru Priceline and and it was a great hotel, both location and price. We got it for $100. a night. The rooms were very well decorated, I would consider it contemporary sophisticated in style, it had both a bedroom and a sitting room with a wonderful view of the harbor and city. I would definetly stay there again if I visited this beautiful city. It is only a few blocks from where the ships dock too. Sissy

Some of the airport hotels give you free parking while away (Holiday Inn Express, Ramada) but I doubt many downtown hotels do. The airports a pretty long way away so I don't know how helpful that is.

Go to biddingfortravel for priceline deals, got Marriot downtown for $57 out the door. Was going to drive, and the Delta at airport was about $100 with free parking for 2 weeks, on their web site. Good luck!

Thanks to all. I'm not driving but flying in so parking is of no concern. I did find a web site, I think it was vancouvertours, that will pick you up in the morning at your hotel, give you a city tour and then drop you at the ship. Looks pretty neat.

Definitely try Priceline. We just stayed at the Hyatt Regency this weekend, 3 blocks from the pier and 1 1/2 blocks from Robson Street (best place to shop). It was perfect - 4 star, very clean, and I got it for $70.

I just completed the Dawn Princess repositioning cruise from LAX to Vancouver last week and got the Marriot Pinnacle thru PRiceline for one night post cruise (4 star) for $48, or $59 with taxes, etc. Very nice hotel.

We also used a limo service that was $39 Canadian Dollars to get from the hotel to the airport.

Crusin Lisa, were you able to get a taxi from the dock to the Marriot, or did you walk to the hotel? I'm staying at the Marriot prior to our cruise and wondered which is best.

Thanks, Lee

I would definatley recommend the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. There is a lot of people for Cruises that stay there and it is a really nice property. They treat you well and it's not too cheap/too expensive. Perfect start/end to your vacation!

Lee;

The Pinnacle is about two fairly short blocks from the pier. So when we stayed there last week post cruise we just walked with our luggage to the hotel--admittedly we only had a Fri to Mon cruise so we probably won't have as much luggage as you might going to your cruise.

In the 1 1/2 days we spent in Vancouver, we walked all around downtown and went from the hotel to the Canadian Place area several times just for sightseeing and shopping. Robson Street and the Pacific Centre Mall are also within walking distance to the hotel (and I even had a gimpy knee. . .because I tripped over some luggage at the San Pedro pier when we were checking onto the ship).

We just checked out of the Barclay House at the West End this morning. This fabulous B&B is in a beautifully restored 100 year old home just 2 short blocks from the prime Robson Street area. I can't imagine staying in one of the high rise hotels after the terrific experience we had at this property. Check Trip Advisor for reviews...it has a perfect rating, beating out even the Fairmont!
