Stupid question- for the statendam. sorry

I have just booked another cruise on the statendam, Do they still have the little laundry room to do your own laundry?? thank you bunches. Christine

When you're running around the ship in dirty clothes, it's not a stupid question. :D

I've never been on a Vista ship, but I don't like the idea that they don't have self-service laundries, especially on cruises longer than a week. I know there's laundry service, but I like my clothes washed a certain way, not boiled in hot water.

We spent 5 weeks on Statendam last Nov/Dec and there were 2 little laundromats on different decks.

There seemed to be a problem with driers functioning properly. I would see irate ladies with baskets of wet laundry going between the 2 trying to find a drier that worked effectively. The ship's laundry was competent if you wished to send out your things.

Just off Statendam and we used the laundry on the Verenda deck and it worked fine. It was 2$ to wash and 1$ to dry. We did keep our load small since they are a small washer and dryer.

On a 10-day Caribbean cruise, I did one small load of white clothes. You can run out of undies pretty quick in hot, humid weather. Also if you hit a rainy week in Alaska.
