Some are private, some aren't.

There are a few old threads here (you'll have to page WAY back) that describe the balconies and cabins in detail.

Does anyone have a link to the really old thread that's a few pages long. I've tried searching - nothing and scrolling back. There apprear to be big gaps in the time line scrolling back, at least for me. Maybe my computor, don't know, but if anyone could provide a link that would be great!

I know also that there is a link somewhere but I can tell you what I know about the Coral balconies. We were on the Emerald deck and they were all covered. The dolphin deck is exposed. Hope that helps.

We were on the top deck - The Aloha. We ould see down into the next 2 levels -The Baja and the Caribe, because the decks stagger out. Then it drops down again I believe. Its not really that big of deal when you are on board (unless you like to sunbathe topless!!) http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I once wrote a VERY long and detailed post on this topic, I'm sure the one mentioned above. Somehow the topic got "turned" by a nasty poster to something else and CC removed it immediately. I never saved a copy of the detail, because I thought the post would always be there. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif Thank goodness someone did a little summmary that was more efficient and mee saved it! Thanks!!

There are a lot of UNcovered balconies on the Coral... Category BE on Emerald are covered and slightly larger, and are at the top of my list for when I get to sail her.

Cheers!

Suzy

Dear Suzy!
If it was your long posting where I got this information then I would like to thank you for doing all that work and give you the credit you are due!!!
The last thing I want to do on a cruise is "research" so I'm grateful to those who take the time to get these kinds of details.
It IS appreciated.
Happy Sails to you.
Maureen

We are on the Coral April 2005.

We were keen to have a mini suite with a fully covered balcony. Through research and consultation with Princss, we opted for B230.

The list provided by Meemeec (old posting) seems to show this cabin as "partially covered".

Since this is an important factor of our cabin choice, I would be very grateful if anyone who knows this cabin could confirm "fully" or "partially" covered.

Thanks
