I have been using www.cruisestateroom.com (http://www.cruisestateroom.com) for a long while to peek at cabins, Diamond being new hasn't been on it till recently, now she is, you can take your cabin # and get a 3D look at your cabin. Great tool for comparing types of cabins.

We are very eager, being in the heat, "soaking" up some genuine Alaska sunshine sounds great. I have had cold rainy weather there only one in three previous sailings. Sun we have, clouds are a novelty for us.
We will take notes but don't think there is much really new, we have been on the ship and the route so hopefully all we have to do is relax.

I'm confused on Cruise stateroom, all the Grand, Diamond and Caribbean Princess all have the same diagrams, but some of the reviews I've read state that Caribbean staterooms are different than Grand. Do you have any knowledge of this?

My knowledge is that the diagrams of the staterooms are not exceedignly accurate, I looked at the cabin I was recently in for a week, the drawing was off but not in any major way, they are representative, not exact.
