i booked my first disney cruise for february 24, 2007 (western carib). i figured i had to do it for my three kids (7, 4 & 1 1/2). i have grown very used to celebrity and i have some concerns about disney. most notably is the lack of a casino and butler service. what can i expect from disney for me and my wife. i have no doubt that the kids will have a blast.

We have cruised DCL without kids many times and had a blast!!!!
Lots of adult areas and activities on the ship. Palos makes for a wonderful adult dining experience. It does cost $10 per person for the gratuity. You can make the reservation as soon you pay off your cruise at the payoff date. Also Flounders nursery, make a reservation for the same time as Palos so your child will be cared for. You will have apager for them to reach you for all the kids.
Adult pool, 2 adult hot tubs, wonderful spa( costs extra), 3 adult only clubs in the evenings, adult comedy show, adult magician or ventriloquist show too. Family shows are awesome too. Every bit as talented as Broadway performers. There is wine tasting events, some tours are adult only too. DCL does enforce the adult areas too, no kids allowed. A coffee cafe is by the adult pool with lots of specialty drinks if you want.
Promenade lounge has good music too, it is a family lounge. Too many things to tell you, but you will be as busy as you want to be. No way can you do it all!!! I think DCL now has Navigators listed on their official web site so you can read an example of things to choose from to do on board.
Deck 4 has shuffleboard and comfy padded lounge chairs, it is a quiet area to relax if you want.
Hope this helps a little. If you havnt already , order the free dvd from DCL on their web site, it will help you a lot!!!
