As I stated in a previous post, I am putting together a website of Patters and Menus and I need your help. Anybody who has their patters and/or menus (scanned or not) please email them or snail mail them to me. If you have any questions, email me at (backwards to avoid spammers) moc.rr.icnic@reyemnoj.
Thank you!

Jon, if I may make a suggestion. Start a very basic website and signature it with your name so it will show up every time you post. Then people will know where to send their menus and patters. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif then as it grows, it will transpire into a masterpiece for everyone to enjoy!! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Well folks, since I am a freak of nature, I have the website up and running for Patters and Menus that I thought up just this morning. Thanks sue d. miller for the prompting to just do it and then get responses.
The website is http://www.geocities.com/pattersandmenus/. Or, is you just want to click, Click Here!
Check it out and spread the word. Right now I just have the two newest sets of Caribbean & Golden Patters. Read on the site for how to send more!

We are cruising the Caribbean Princess in July....first cruise. Can I assume that the menus are pretty much the same on the same nights or do they switch things around often? I'm asking because I would like to make reservations when we board for Sabatini's and Sterling and if I knew ahead the menus (as posted) then I would feel better about what we were 'missing' that night in the main dining rooms. Any suggestions are welcome!

I will be more than happy to scan in the patters that I have from my Dawn cruise in April and when I get back in August from the Caribbean Princess http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
What about the shore shopping guides? Those don't change very much but I have them.
Ooh, also, can you tell me what font you used to make your banner? Is it Gilligan's Island? I love it!
Good luck with the site http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Meyerhaus,
Thank you for the wonderful resource!! All of these sites that you guys put up (you, Chris, Bill) should be required reading for us newbies!
To anyone,
Question about dinnertime, say for example, you want the mahi-mahi, but no cucumber salad, how much of a hassle is it for the waiter to get that changed? I guess the bottom line, is everything 'plated' to order, or already 'plated' and then the waiter thinks you are a pain in the butt? Just wondering what my boundaries are! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Thanks!

I'll be on the Regal June 5th. I'll save the Patters and try to get the menus. Getting a hand-me-down scanner this weekend. Do you want pictures of the food? I was thinking of taking entree shots with a digital camera. So many people ask about the food, figured that while you wouldn't be able to taste it, you could see the presentation.

Spicey,
I can't imagine meals are constructed until orders are placed.
Everybody has such individual tastes and nearly everybody throws some kind of substitution at the waiter/assistant waiter.
It would be a huge waste of time and resources if meals were already "built".
Nice of you take the waiters' feelings into consideration, though! Hardly anyone ever does that...

Spicey477,
Your wait staff is there to assist you in any way possible. They are usually "right on the money" with their recommendations. They usually go out of their way to assist you in your meal selection. Your selections will be "platted" just prior to the delivery to your table. Should you have any concerns or problems a word with the Matri'd will resolve any situation. Your consideration for the wait staff is exemplary! They work very hard and are away from their families for long periods of time.

MouseMan and Trivoli,
Thank you for the advice. I have been a waitress/bartender for ages and I am almost too considerate for servers when I go out. I would never want the reputation among the waitstaff to be 'difficult', and even though I know I would never be considered that, I just thought I would ask.
I know having food plated would waste a lot of time if changes needed to be made, but making dinner for 3000 people around the same time requires a lot of pre-planning! I look forward to my cruise and meeting the wonderful service staff, I am sure that we could all learn a lot from them! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Thanks!

All you have to do is click on the picture. If it is still too small, there is a link at the bottom of some of them that says "View Original." That should make it even bigger.
