A man named Gavin was the deputy CD on our cruise with Graham as the CD. I'm not sure if Chandler was Gavin's last name, but hopefully its the same person. He was just as good as Graham, very funny, nice and involved with the events on the cruise.

I was also on the Golden 4/10 and agree the deputy cruise directors name was Gavin and he was great!! It must be the same person. How many Gavins can there be? He did the morning show a few mornings and he was hilarious!!!
So...if we can't have Graham I happy that it is Gavin!

Gavin was great as the Deputy CD on one of our last cruises. I think he was better than the CD.
I think he was also featured on a Travel Channel show on Princess.

Here's another vote for Gavin (we were also on the 4/10 sailing). There's only one Graham Seymour, but Gavin is young, has that dry, sardonic British wit, and is just as irreverent as Graham - just with a little different spin. You'll have a great time with him as C.D.

Gavin should be awesome. I found him absolutely hilarious when he hosted the Island Party hula hoop contest. He'll be an awesome CD. I loved him just as much as I loved Graham.
Am I the only one still suffering from cruise withdrawl...over a month after it ended?

If you want to avoid PCD, next time book on board. It is a wonderful solution. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Alicia -
Sorry we missed you on this cruise. Both DW and I, and all of our cruise friends from this trip, have PCD reallllllly bad, maybe because the cruise itself was that good. Have to agree, it WAS the best vacation ever.
BTW, Sue is right. We made an open booking while on board and it did help ... a little ...

Alicia,
I had PCD soooo bad that I couldn't stand it any more and talked my sister into going with me on the golden 6/27!!! I convinced my husband that I truely needed a vacation WITHOUT the kids!!! All of my cruises so far have included them. So how great of a vacation is this going to be?!?! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I , too will be anxious to hear how Gavin is as a CD. We are on the Golden 10/10/04 and really wanted Graham, but hopefully Gavin will be a close second. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Yep, Gavin is the one and only from the 4/10 Golden....
Anyone who has him is in for a good time...He was so nice and friendly and really seemed to care that everyone was having a good time.
Cruzfiend- it's a shame that you won't have Graham (such a blast...can't say enough!) You'll love Gavin...he's right up there with Graham!
just a quick hey to Alicia.....and anyone else who was on the 4/10 cruise!

I am thisclose to booking my own solo cruise...that is, if I can't find anyone to go with me... http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif (meagan?) My boyfriend doesn't think he'll enjoy a cruise. I said he was insane. Anyway, I do wish I had booked a cruise when I was on board last month, because my PCD is KILLER!
If I do book another cruise, I really want to be on the ship that Graham or Gavin are on, because I really think I was spoiled by having the two of them on the same trip. Meagan... also have to get on Stephen and Brians ship! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

My PCD is hitting me hardcore. It wasn't nearly this bad after my cruise to Alaska...but that was with my extended family, so I was worried too much about meeting new people..but this cruise was more of my own, so I'm suffering much more!
And Alicia, you know I'm game! You just tell me when!
I would love to cruise with Graham or Gavin again...you can't go wrong with either!
-Meagan
I believe Gavin was interviewed by the Travel Channel when they did the special on Star Princess...I think?

Thanks

We sailed with him on the Golden back in March. He was assistant then. He's funny, blonde& smart, cute, and as personable as Graham. I hope he does a Pub night show!!!

Travelers...PCD stands for POST CRUISE DEPRESSION !!! It's a horrible condition and the only known cure is to plan another cruise as SOON as POSSIBLE !!! I hope you don't get it because it is truely debilitating http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
