I am looking to book a BB category on the Caribbean Princess Caribe Deck http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif. Are there any advantages/disadvantages to having the front set of rooms vs. the aft set of rooms? These would all face port or starboard, not actually facing aft. I gather that the Caribe Deck is high enough to escape major vibrations, but what about the motion http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif ? My first cruise I was "spoiled" by having a room right in the center of the ship. Thanks for any input. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

You'll still feel the thrusters on Caribe, if that is bothersome to you. As far as normal motion goes, that's subjective. The higher up you go, the more you'll feel any roll.

Completed:
Sea Princess, Royal Princess, Grand Princess (3X), Caribbean Princess, Golden Princess
Coming up:
Tahitian Princess Oct 14/04
Caribbean Princess redux 6/25/05

We just returned from the Caribbean Princess, ct BB Caribe deck. Prior to that cruise we always had midship but we booked late.
We were not at all disturbed by any kind of motion and had a wonderful time.

Thank you Karen and Goose - can I ask if you were forward (in the 200s) or aft (in the 700s)?

We were in 247. The only disadvantage is a very long walk down the hallway. We had a great time and to save $ on our next cruise we'll be booking a BB.
Have a great time!
