As you can see from our signature we have not previously sailed on Oceania. We contacted our TA and told him that we would like to book an Owner's Suite on Insignia for a 15 night cruise departing Barcelona on November 24, 2007 and ending up in Rio de Janeiro.

Our TA contacted Oceania and was told that the Owners and Vista Suites had not been released by Oceania for booking. Imagine our surprise, because we were willing to book one and half years before the cruise. The best that Oceania would do at the time was allow us to book category PH1 Penthouse Suite and waitlist us for an Owners Suite. We have always had a Royal Suite on Celebrity and on our upcoming SilverSeas cruise have a Silver Suite.

Would any of you seasoned Oceania cruisers have any idea of Oceania's policy which it comes to booking the top level suites? Our TA surmised that perhaps Oceania holds these suites for booking by their frequent cruisers. Is this true? We have never run into this problem with Celebrity or SilverSeas.

Really appreciate whatever information you can provide. Thank You.

These suites are all sold out already with deposits on them..since the cruise is over a year away you can wait-list for an Owners and Vista with a deposit and have a good chance of clearing..
Remember on Oceania there are ONLY 10 of the big suites and they go first!!

I'm a little confused. How can they be sold out if they haven't been yet released for booking????
