Are the balconies on the Mini-Suites completely covered or partially covered? Can others see onto it from above? What type partitians separate each balcony, see through or solid? Thanks for any help.

The balconies on the Dolphin Deck are completely open - on the Grand and Golden Princess. Don't know about the newer ships.
Yes, people can look down but we hardly ever saw anyone looking down since they'd have to be standing at the rail to do so. We had no problem with the open balcony. The partitions are solid between balconies. Hope this answers your quesions.

Something just occured to me. Since the balconies are stacked the way they are does it take away from the view of the ocean, meaning when you are sitting and looking out are the other balconies below you in your line of sight instead of just seeing the ocean.

We had a balcony room on Baja deck on the Grand and the view was unobstructed. Same with Dolphin mini-suites.

We had a Caribe deck BB balcony on the Grand, and although the Dolphin deck balcony is visible below, it did not obstruct the view in any way. You can still see the wake, it is just about 9 feet further away. The plus is if you accidentally drop something off your balcony it may land on the balcony below instead of being lost at sea. lol http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Gloria is absolutely correct. One day while sitting out on our Dolphin deck balcony, a baseball cap flew down onto our deck. A woman started shouting from a few decks above saying it was her husband's favorite cap and could we tell her what cabin we were in so they could come and retrieve it!

Too bad my 5 day old, $400.00 prescription reading glasses that fell off my head from the Caribe Deck on the Island Princess didn't land on a Dolphin Deck balcony! They made it all the way into the Panama Canal Locks!!! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
