This question applies to any British passengers who has travelled on the Virgin charter flights to join the Golden Princess in San Juan.
I was wondering whether Virgin treated this flight similar to their scheduled flights i.e. by awarding Flying Miles and whether the service they grant to Premium Economy and Upper Class clients is of their normal standard. Also, I understand that Virgin operate a 'twilight' check in, at Gatwick and wondered if this facility was available for the charter. Furthermore, does the luggage have to be reclaimed in SJ or is it transported directly to the ship? And to complete my list of questions - what happens on disembarkation day - are you taken to an hotel for the day or do you wait on the ship? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hi Smoothcruiser

I will be on the Golden in August. Had a letter from Princess yesterday saying we could use Virgin's twilight check-in from 16.00 till 20.00.

The last time we flew into San Juan our luggage was taken straight to the ship. On disembarkation day we were taken to the Westin Rio Mar for lunch, then transferred to the airport. This was in February 2001 and may well have changed since.
