We are very excited about our trip on the Magic on July 29th. We have cruised a lot, but on ships with open seating. There will be nine of us, 2 families, and the two of us Uncles, and how do we go about making sure we are seated together?
Also if some of the adults eat at the other restaurant, will the remainder of our party still be with each other?
Thanks,
Sea-hawk

If you used a TA, make sure they have had all your reservations linked. If you booked through DCL directly, call and make sure all the reservations are linked. I am pretty sure there are tables large enough for nine, so you all should be seated together. When you get to the port and check in, have all the members of your party verify they are in the same dining room rotation for the same time at the same table. If there is a problem, dining room staff is available once you board the ship to sort things out. You will all dine together at the same table in each of the restaurants for your cruise. Even if some of your party does not go to the regularly scheduled dining room, your table and the people you are dining with will stay the same.

Thanks so much. That was exactly what I was wanting to know.

My DW and I were married on the Magic in January and they were able to seat our entire party together, all 14 of us, even in Palos. We took up the largest table they had which is located in the center of each dinning room. We were told it was the Captains table. As gizfish stated just make sure they have your reservations linked together so they know you are one group.

Awesome, thanks. We will have a 4,9 and 11 year old with us, so we can't all eat at Palos. We are trying to stagger ourselves, but maybe we should put somewhere for the night and try to book the 6 adults together one night at Palos.

If you can't have Palo's for dinner, I would highly suggest that your group try the Palo's brunch while the kids are at the kids programs. About six from our group did it and the food was fabulous.

Sea-Hawk,
When we sailed with 11 of us we got to the dining room and DCL hadn't sat us together. I'm not telling you this to make you worried. I'm actually writing to say that DCL was awesome. They moved tables together so all but my DD and DDF had to sit at a table by themselves. The next meal though - all of us got to sit together. You should be able to call DCL and link your cabins together, without your TA. I'm not one to be that trusting. When you get to the ship you can also check your ressie. I think it's at Beat Street...
If you take everying in stride - it all works out. It was a great trip! I'm sure yours will be great too!
