We had a wonderful cruise on this new ship - stayed in E508 - room was roomier than expected - shower tiny but that was also expected. They do provide a hair dryer and soaps shampoo and lotions - all replaced everyday. we chose the personal choice dining - eating at 7 each night so we were able to catch 2 shows a night. We LOVED the entertainment - comedy, broadway-type shows, hypnotist etc were great - we are in our 50's so are not "party-animals" We thought the food was great - lots of choices and if you wanted to - there is no problem staying on a diet here - if you have great willpower - we did not!!! My gripes were few but here they are - could we get some decent toilet paper and tissue?? Drink cards are sold for $20 and you can have unlimited soft drinks - you will never drink that much believe me - better to pay seperately or ONLY GET 1 CARD.No one even looks at the cards - drinks were tasty -they have a drink of the day and we always tried them. Getting on the ship was a breeze - I couldn't believe it - we were eating lunch at noon in our bathing suits. Disembarktion was orderly - do know they have rental car places right there at POrt Everglades - I called Avis and I guess since I didn't know the name of the Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale) they told me they did not have a rental place there...they do and it saves you time and money if you don't have to take the bus back to the airport. This part I hated the most - wait and wait - take a cab - it will end up costing less than the $20 you spend for 2 to get to the ship. You can see the ships from the airport! We found the staff friendly but not overly so - room was always clean and neat and we really didn;t see Marco our steward hardly at all. The excursions were pricey and just so so - not the cruise ships fault..and people buying up things in these ports as if they were giving things away really cracked me up. I am a pretty savvy shopper and let me tell you I did not see a single bargain except for liquor products. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions.

How was your room? We were booked in E504 and E506 until dh decided to bless me with changing to a balcony room. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif What was the obstructed view like? Sounds like you had a great cruise.

We were in E628 last week and we thought our room was larger than the inside stateroom that we usually have. It is laid out like the balcony rooms, except there is a large window instead of sliding doors and balcony. We were very lucky as the tender outside our window was smaller than the ones used for passengers and we could see out over it and could see almost everything there was to see.

We were in C247 same cruise. Had an absolutely great tiem. No prolem with pc dining or reservations for alternative restaurants.
Great service, fun in the sun and great people on board. Only problem is waiting until we can go again.
Have fun.
