What kind of "storage" is there on the Caribbean Princess for personal items, both in the bathroom and in the cabin itself? We had purchased one of the "over the door shoe thingies" but didn't need it on the RCI Voyager Class ships because the bathroom cabinet storage was abundant. Does the CP have a lot of bathroom cabinet storage...or should I bring the "shoe thingie"? And what about the in cabin storage? We'll have our first inside cabin with two adults and one child. Will our suitcases fit under the beds? Is the closet pretty good sized?

Kathi - I'm going to assume here that the Carib Princess inside cabins have the same furnishings and layout as the other Grand-class ships - fellow cruisers, feel free to chime in if I'm wrong.
My in-laws had an inside cabin on the Golden last month - it was on the smallish side but serviceable. The bed was against the far wall, with nightstands with drawers on each side. The desk and chair were against the near wall, with the entryway to one side. The bathroom and closet area are to one side when you first enter.
Bathroom storage was limited to a stack of open shelves against the far corner of the sink / mirror area. There are ditty bags that unzip and hang over a door hook that would probably come in quite handy for you. Between the bathroom and sitting area is the closet / storage area, with a single row of floor-to-ceiling shelves, perhaps 18" wide and with a covered door, against the far wall. The closet itself runs along the wall that backs the cabin's desk. It is open, at least 6' wide (probably more) with a shelf the length of the top. You also have two drawers in each cabin nightstand, plus a few more drawers in the desk (this is all essentially identical to the storage areas we had in our Cat BB balcony).
Suitcases fit nicely under the beds, don't think you'd have a problem stowing them there unless they're hugely oversized. However, in an inside cabin it might be a bit clunky pulling them in and out if you're going to keep things in them. Our consensus for both cabins was that there was plenty of storage space, no one needed to keep things in their suitcases. Assuming you don't mind keeping your shoes on the floor of the closet area you shouldn't need your over-the-door shoe thingie.
Enjoy the cruise!

"These moments we’re left with - may you always remember
These moments are shared, by few
And those harbor lights, lord they’re coming into view
We’ll bid our farewells much too soon
So drink it up, this one’s for you -
Honey, it’s been a lovely cruise."

I'd bring the overthe door shoe thingy. I was in a minisuite and used one--it was very helpful in helping keep the countertop clean. There was a long shelf below the sink that we didn't use at all to store things because we had the over-door shoe organizer for all our toiletries. I believe only the minisuites and above have this under the sink shelf. The smaller cabines have even less storage space.
Hope this is helpful.

In the minisuite, where is the bathroom and the closet? Is the bathroom off the sitting area, or near the bed area?
