On the Caribbean Princess what dining rooms are used for traditional dining, personal choice dining, and 24hr. dining. Also, what hours are they open.
We are the type that generally likes beef and pork dishes. What dining room would you'll suggest. We plan on making reservations ahead in the PC dining with one or 2 nights in the steakhouse.
Breakfast..we enjoy sausage, bisquits, and pancakes. Sugestions please. Is there anywhere that we can get this and go on deck to enjoy it.
thanks ahead for info and suggestions.

Cliff,

We sailed on CP the week of Apr. 24. The dining options were as follows.

Traditional Seating was in all 3 dining rooms (Coral, Island, and Palm).

PC Dining was available in all 3 dining rooms from 5:30 to 10:00.

Sterling Steakhouse was good, but it didn't knock our socks off. Dining room food was much better.

There is food in either the Horizon Court and/or Cafe Caribe 24 hours a day. These are both on the Lido Deck.

Your best bet for Breakfast is the Horizon Court. They always had sausage and biscuits. Some days they had pancakes. We ate breakfast there every day and loved the variety. We also would get our food and take it out on deck to eat.

Hope this helps.

We were on the Caribbean Princess 5/8-15. The Island dining room is used for traditional seating at 6:15 and 8:30 and is on Deck 5. Anytime dining is in the Palm Dining Room,Fiesta Deck 6 (only accessible from the aft stairs and two outside aft elevators) and the Coral Dining room, Fiesta Deck 6, midship. The anytime dining rooms are open from 5:30 to 10:00 PM. You will be able to be seated without reservations more easily in the Palm Dining Room. The Coral Dining Room is busier as it is located more centrally. The Palm dining room is larger and out of the way and we never waited to be seated there. The Horizon Court is open early in the morning until around 4:30 Pm in the afternoon, offering breakfast and lunch. That will be your best bet for the type of breakfast you like, although I don't remember seeing biscuits. They will make you omelets to order if you ask for one. When you get to the area where the scrambled eggs are on the buffet, just ask one of the fellows behind the food counter and they will have the cook make you an omelet. The Cafe Caribe is behind the Horizon Court and if there are no tables empty in the Horizon Court, you can take your plate into that area to eat also. At 5:30 PM, the Cafe Caribe opens with a specialty buffet every evening. Look on your Princess Patter, delivered to your room every evening, for tips on what the specialty buffet in the Cafe Caribe will be. I believe the Cafe Caribe is also open during the night. There will be a grill and pizzeria open near one of the main pools during the day up until around 6 or 6:30 pm. We didn't eat in Sterling's or Sabatini's this cruise, but we have eaten in Sabatini's in the past and recommend it. Allow 2 1/2 hours for eating that night. It's an event rather than a meal!

I had Prime Rib, Tournadoes of Beef Tenderloin, Roast Pork, and Beef Wellington in the Palm Dining Room. You can check out the menus each day posted just outside the dining room.

Is it a wise ideato make resevations for PC dining ahead of time? If so, how far in advance? Thanks.

We didn't have to make reservations in the Palm Dining Room. They always had tables available. The same is not true for the Coral Dining Room. We don't like to be tied down to a certain time, that's why we were thrilled with the Palm Dining Room. If you want to be certain of a specific time and table and waiter, by all means when you get to your stateroom, dial the number provided and make your reservations for the week.
