Just curious if there are any views in the Volendam's spa and thermal suite? I know they remodeled some of the old gym area, but am unsure what kind of ambience is present, and how relaxing it is. Opinions from recent Volendam passengers would be greatly appreciated!

We were on the Volendam in April and May for b2b's and used the thermal suite every day. The view is spectacular. There are floor to ceiling windows. They also limit the number of people that use the thermal suite during the cruise, so it is never crowded, and we never had to wait. I hope that you enjoy it as much as we did.

We were on the Volendam May 24 - 31 and had week passes to the Thermal Suite. Although it is very nice, the thermal suites on the Vista class ships are better, imo. The view from the thermal loungers are somewhat obstructed by a private balcony area. That being said, watching the glaciers go by while sitting in the Volendam's thermal spa was magnificent! I think you will thoroughly enjoy the ambience. Well worth the money on any dam ship.

I was on the Zaandam in Dec (same size ship as Volendam) and used the thermal suite several days. Plan on buying a pass for upcoming December cruise for DD and myself to use suite. It is private, offers good views, great for stretching out on the heated tile reclined seats and reading your beach/holiday books, and I absolutely adore heat!

P.S. The day rate was 20. not sure how much the weekly pass is?
