Hi All - This is my first time with HAL and we booked a cabin on the Zuiderdam in cabin 8086. In checking the web site it looks like that cabin is right next to the elevators (perhaps glass enclosed). Is this a privacy issue? Also I notice that the deck above is the Lido with pool, etc. Will that be noisey? Can some one please tell me if I should request another. Thank you

Cabin SS 8086 is not beside an elevator.... glass enclosed or otherwise. The glass elevators are midship. It is on Navigation Deck about 1/4 - 1/3 way from the stern and isn't a bad location. It is under Lido Restaurant which mostly has carpet on the floor. It should be fine as far as noise from chairs/tables/walking.
Welcome to HAL. Enjoy.

Sail7Seas - Thank you .I transposed the number. Duh!!! The cabin is 8068. I just noticed that it is a handicap stateroom and I have no disability. No one told me that when assigned. Any advice? Thanks again.

8068 is not beneath the pool area - it's under the Lido Restaurant.
Yes, folks can see the balcony from the elevator - however most people are much more interested in pushing the correct button for their desired floor and looking out at the water than trying to determine what book you're reading, what you're having for breakfast or what you're wearing (unless you're not wearing anything at all - then who cares if they see?)
