Entertainment was great--best thing about the cruise itself (the destination was actually the very best thing). Piano Man was one show, featuring the music of Billy Joel, Neil Sedaka, Liberace, Elton John and Barry Manilow. We arrived 15 minutes early only to be told the theatre was already full. So we went to the Explorers Lounge to watch a juggler/comedian--he was great also, then back to the theatre to try the 2nd show. Got into that one, and they repeated it again at 9:15pm the next night. Probably the most popular show on the cruise. Enjoyed all the comedians as well as Curtain Up, a show highlighting the music of a lot of Braodway shows.

I agree on the Piano Man show. We went to three shows and enjoyed all of them. One was a ventriloquist (sp?) that was really good, and the other was more a Broadway Show production - same people as in the Piano Man show. We skipped the comedian and heard mixed reviews. We showed up about 30 minutes before the shows started and had no problem getting a good seat - but they filled up fast after that.

Does anyone know what time the early show starts in the main show room?

Thank you,
Lynda

Piano Man was at 8:15 and 10:15 one day and 9:15 the next. All the shows we attended were at 8:15.

FYI, be early to the early show if you are going to that one. We went back to room to change b4 one show, got there five or so minutes before 8 (show starts at 8:15)and the place was packed. I recommend getting there as soon as you finish dinner (if early) http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I agree with all the early birds! I went early and brought along my journal and took that 40 minutes or so to catch up on my day while I waited for the show. My parents brought their books. Both Piano Man and Curtain Up were outstanding and worth the wait!

Thanks for all your suggestions. Will try to get there early if I can get my mom moving. She's getting on in years and although sharp as a tac with a tremendous sense of humor, she moves very slowly.

We were on the DP the first of this month. At the back of the theater there were 2 or 3 rows that had signs on them saying the seats were saved for disabled. These were paper printed notices not permanent notices although they were taped down. There was a staff member there as well trying to keep able-bodied people out of the seats. About 5-10 min before the show they let anyone sit in those seats that were not taken. Might be able to get your mother into one of those seats.

Fred,

Thanks for that great info. If they do that on our cruise, that would be perfect for my mom and I won't have to make her run. (joking, of course). We are leaving for Seattle tomorrow and I'm sooooo excited.
