For those lucky to have gone on the CP, just a few questions --
How was the Disco? My sister was a past disco queen and lives for this stuff! Hoping it was alive.
Anyone seen the "video" arcade they say they are putting in? Called Princess and they are working on it.
Are there really hamburgers and hot dogs at the movies?
One last question - who was the the cruise director? Graham Seymour?

Can't answer all of your questions but will answer a couple. Stopped in at the disco just one night and it was okay. Loud. Not real busy. We were on May 15-22 so not many "young" people. I saw the sign for the Video arcade but did not look inside so not sure.
The cruise director was Paul McLoughlin who we never EVER saw out and about...but the asst cruise director James Lay and his gang were always available and they were fantastic. The sail-a-way party on the first afternoon was the best that I've ever been to. They always had afternoon pool games, etc on sea days that were a really great time.
There are two pools in the center of the ship. The Calypso which is where the movies are shown. And the Neptune. There is a place in back of the Neptune that has hamburgers/hotdogs/fries/chicken patties, that kind of stuff. It closes at 8 pm. You could get your food and then go to the 7:30 show. You need to make reservations to be allowed into the show. They actually send movie tickets to your room and have ushers who allow you into the area. Some nights they show concerts on the screen and everyone is allowed to be in the area at those times.

princessb,
There is no video arcade. Here is a copy of my reply to your other post.

Just got off the Caribbean Princess this morning (5/29/04). It was a fantastic cruise! Maximum stars in my book.
BUT, there was no video arcade aboard whatsoever. There are only 4 TV's with Sony PlayStations in the teen center on deck 16 named "Off Limits". These stations are not available 24/7.
We became aware of the lack of a video arcade before we sailed. We knew that our teenaged son would be devastated to find no video arcade aboard so we had two options. Either cancel the cruise and rebook on another line which would have been very expensive. Or bring some other form of entertainment along with us.
So, we purchased a GameBoy Advanced handheld station with several game cartridges and surprised him with it once an board. He was elated with this alternative.
No, he did not spend the entire week just playing the games. He spent plenty of time in the pools and hottubs, etc.. He made many friends and shared his GameBoy with everyone which made him even more popular with the teen crowd. The portability of the unit allowed him to play anywhere on board, in a deck chair, by the pool, in his cabin, and in the teen center.
I can't for the life of me understand why Princess chose to omit an arcade on such an otherwise outstanding ship. This was a dumb decision in my opinion. Perhaps they would consider converting just ONE of the many cocktail lounges to an arcade. The kids would all be in favor of that (and some of the adults too).

Also, Skywalkers Club opened at 11:15 pm and attracted the 18 to 28 year old crowd primarily.
It was not as busy as I had anticipated.
Club Fusion (deck 7 aft) did offer a "disco" event for a few hours one evening highlighted by "Afro" style wigs and disco dance lessons. It was a hoot.
