everyone talks so much about the personalizer i went to look for myself and am now upset.booked for july 3 CP cabin c251 which cruise personalizer states non-converting twins. guess that means the bed are separated FOREVER.since all the balcony cabins are sold out am unable to change to another cabin.

You and your spouse can save some energy and won't have to get too creative http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif That cabin converts on the Caribbean Princess. It's a glitch in the Cruise Personalizer! If you are concerned give Princess a call and they will change the Personalizer for you!!

Cruising! It's like being in the Garden of Eatin'!

You might want to call Princess directly. I beleive that the personalizer defaults to non-converting twins. Our personalizer said that as well, but our bed was converted. Good luck!

Nope. I bet if you call Princess it is an error. I just checked the brochure and there in NO black star on your cabin. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

It IS an error. I called Princess last night about the exact same issue. We are in Golden D323 and it defaulted to NC Twins. Just call them and they will happily give you ALL of the info on your room. I had a CSR last night named Sarah that was the nicest CSR I have ever talked to. She was a serious multitasker who kept up a casual conversation with me while she fixed all the things that my TA screwed up!

I just spoke with princess the other day. It automatically defaults to non-converting twins. They changed it for me to read queen bed. In looking at the brochure they sent us there are only about 4 rooms that actually don't convert and they are all at the back of the ship! No worrys man!

I understand that your issue has been addressed. I just wanted to tell everyone our experinence with twin beds. When we entered our room on our last cruise we discovered that our beds hadn't been made up together. We decided to give it a try that way and loved it. While it was a little strange to be apart, it sure made it easier to manuver around in the room. We're always stubbing toes and banging into things in the middle of the night. We slept alot more sound also. You can always invite the other person over! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

You could always pretend that you are teenages in the back of a small car again. It is fun to be young at heart.

Modern day cruisers are spoiled http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

We spend our honeymoon on the Island Princess
(the old one) The were even filming The Love BoatI during the cruise. On that "Love Boat" there was only 1 cabin that had a double bed. (and it was a "family cabin" that could only be booked for 4.)

By the 3rd night the stewart had figured out what we were doing and began making up our bed on the floor... http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

We spent our first anniversary on the Love Boat (old Pacific Princess). Not only were the twins non-converting, they were at right angles to each other and one of them folded up into the wall in the daytime. Really tiny twins, and not very comfortable for romance. Love Boat? I think not. But it was still a wonderful cruise to Bermuda in 2002.

We've seldom had our bed configured correctly. I leave a note for our cabin steward if we don't see him. They've always fixed it when they've made the beds in the evening.

enyliram,

Our cruise personalizer said the same thing. When I called Princess to inquire, they stated that this info was incorrect and that the beds were indeed convertable. When we boarded the CP on 5/22 the beds were already exactly like they should have been, together in our cabin and separate in the kids cabin. So don't sweat it.

Don't Worry be Happy!
This is just a computer problem on the princess web site. The beds do convert into a queen size bed!! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
