Last time we were in Curacao we did the kayak/snorkle tour through RCI. We were not thrilled with the location--a very industrial looking beach. The snorkling was great though--tons of fish. This time we would like to find a better snorkling tour, either through RCI or on our own. Any suggestions of great beaches or tour operators would be greatly appreciated.

Last February we used a company called Curacao-Acief for a one day tour that involved some of the best snorkelling we have ever done. Their website is www.curacao-actief.com (http://www.curacao-actief.com) and they will accomodate cruise ship passengers special requests. I highly recommend them.

Thanks Shrek. The website you recommended looked great. Were you on a cruise when you did this? Do you remember which snorkling trip you took. I guess that the half-day trip would probably be the best on our schedule, although the all-day sightseeing/snorkle tour looked really nice.

Thanks for the link.

Did you snorkel from a boat ? If so what kind of boat was it ?

Thanks,
Giz

cruizeblues: We were on a RCCL cruise. We did an all day trip that was like the one on the website, but had some custom made stops. I sent them an email and told them the hours that we were available and they set up a tour that would meet our requirements. It was pretty similar to the one on the web site.

gizmo: We snorkelled from shore at both locations.

If you scroll back on this board to February 2006 I posted a review in detail about what we did that day.
