View Full Version : Tips for rapid disembarkation/shore visits?

Have booked a 2:00 Snuba adventure and shop doesn't dock until 1:00 local time (Fascination).

I understand that they give priority for disembarking to those who have trips booked through the ship.

What should I do to be essentially front of the line? Where to line up, how early?

If the ship is docked, it's no big deal to get off once the ship has cleared the local authorities. You just walk off.

It's only an issue when you need to tender in to port.

Doesn't it state somewhere that you may disembark approximately two hours after docking??

Go to the Purser's Desk as soon as you board and tell him you needed priority 'tendering'.
If you are docked at a Pier, just get in line.. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

One of my friends said that when they were on NCL last year, they attended a cruise critic meeting and were given priority tender passes. Does anyone know if this is available on Carnival?

They will have a time set aside for passengers who have purchased tours through the ship to obtain stickers for early tendering.

Last October on the Paradise, they were pretty vigilant about only letting passengers with the correct stickers on the early tenders. People who tried to sneak on were turned away. It got pretty ugly, yet humorous at the same time. I love watching people who think the rules apply to everyone else but them get knocked down a few pegs.

A couple of weeks ago on the Elation they gave "first group" tender tickets to the people who had excursions booked through the ship & "second group" tender tickets to people who had excursions booked through private companies (& you had to have proof!).
