I'm sailing 4.12.04 on the f a s c i n a t i o n.

a couple of quick questions.

- we we're originally booked in 2 class 1A rooms E181 and E183. Then my dad, who is in the Coast Guard and works in the port of Miami, went over to the Carnival terminal and got our rooms "upgraded." We are now in a GTY 4 (not sure of the number.) So we have no room number. Is this any better than where we were? I was kinda looking forward to these odd little rooms. But now my question is, can I find out ahead of time via the Carnival website what my cabins are. I know that this far out I wouldn't be able to, but maybe the day before when I log on and it shows my cabin, would it tell me where we are at? bou ecause now it's just showing a 4 cabin.
- also...will we get new doc's in the mail. the original ones were for the previous rooms, and all the tags are for those rooms etc.
- and lastly...what are the chances of the upgrade fairy visiting us?

all your help is greatly appreciated in advance!

this is my families first cruise and I've learned so much about what to expect from this board! it's great!

1A to a 4A is still inside to inside, but a little better location wise. I think it may still be on the same deck though. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the 1A has a bunk for the second bed, while the 4A does not.

Contact your TA. Carnival might have assigned rooms to you. Then again, they might not have. Like all guar. cabins, the exact cabin location is "up to Carnival" [or any cruise line, for that matter].

As to your other question, it's doubtful Carnival will send you a second set of luggage tags. When you get to the terminal, some of the porters will have clipboards. They will have the number of the cabin you're assigned to, as well as luggage tags for you to fill out that are correct for your room.

Got docs?

The 1A cabins have upper and lower berths. The 4A will have two twin beds. Both are interior rooms. Since you have a gty room, yes the chances of an upgrade are good, but don't count on it. If you do get new docs and the cabin shows gty, the luggage tags will be gray and have TBA on them. There will be someone at the pier with a manifest to tell you your room and give you corresponding color luggage tags. The luggage handlers will immediatly take you and your bags to the person who will give you this info. If you get docs with a room assignment, you will also receive corrected luggage tags.

Has anyone been on the rear corner cabins? It has a strange layout and I would like to know how it is layed out.

Cabins# 6442,6473,6481 and 6450 on the Carnival Liberty.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Nancy. You didn't need to bring a year and a half old thread up to ask your question.:D

If you go to the Carnival website, you can click on your ship and get the 360 degree tour of cabins. I've heard from others on the boards that those particular cabins are really nice, and a bit larger, I think.
