I know the food at David's is essentially the same as the dining room. We don't drink-so is it worth paying $50? What is the appeal?
Trying to decide...Thanks!

We were really pleased with both the service and quality of food when we ate at David's twice last April. We are sailing on the Pride again in June and plan to book at least two nights (perhaps three). Quite frankly - the food in the diningroom is fairly average - not a "highlight" as on other ships we've sailed on......but overall - still an excellent value for the price of your cruise. We just enjoyed the extra attention and excellent food at Davids.....we took a special bottle of champagne each night - and made an evening of it.

We don't drink either but have eaten at Davids once on each of our Pride cruises. The food is great and nothing like the dining room the service being a little more personble. David's allows you a get away from all the people on the ship and a chance for a romantic evening. Just don't go there in a rush be prepared for at least 2 hours.

My husband and I were on the Pride sailing last week. We had dinner at David's Tuesday night. I don't drink either but overall the dining experience was wonderful. The food is different than the Normadie Dining room. It's much richer, nicer presentation, more sauces and larger portions so I couldn't imagine eating there every night like the couple next to us.
The entire meal was heavenly and the desserts to die for.
The nicest part of the experience though was the service how quiet the room was. Compared to the hustle and bustle of the larger dining room this was pure peace.
Also the supperclub entertainment was terrific. The pianist and vocalist were wonderful playing softly in the background.
The vocalist had this smooth sultry voice like Sade, & when she sang " The Girl from Ipanema" she absolutely gave me goosebumps. Well worth the $50 a couple. Enjoy!

On one hand I would like to have the quality of food served at David's on the other hand I'd rather not have a 3 hr dinner. Can I keep it at 2 hours? (without missing part of the meal)

We had first dining at 6 and were out in an hour and a half. The entertainment was having a little trouble getting started so we left.
Enjoy!! The food and atmosphere are out of this world. I would definitely do it again.

Does the entertainment usually start at 6pm when David's opens? Or do they start later?
thanks!

When they open. They apologized they were having difficulty with the sound. What we did hear of it was quite pleasant.
