The Blue Lady was a beautiful ship. I often wondered what happened to those statues that were in the International Lounge.

It is a sad day indeed, I sailed on her in 85 and was going again just 1 week after her explosion, I was kinda hoping someone would use her for something?

That's really unfortunate.
I read on the NCL board that before the ship was sold, they removed most of the interior fittings. It would be nice if NCL incorporated those into a new ship, much in the same way that Celebrity used fittings from the Olympic in the specialty restaraunt onboard Millennium.

I read about her this morning.
Very sad!!
So glad that we were able to sail on her a few years ago.

I read somewhere that the plan is to incorporate all that was saved from Norway, (including the statues) on to all the other ships of the fleet, not just one. I truly loved The Norway and will always remember my 3 cruises aboard her.:D :(

Sad to hear that she is finally going to Alang, but nearly all the ships will end up there. I'm glad to have sailed on a piece of history and it will be very sad to see the play by play pictures that will show up on "Maritine Matters"

Sorry, too, to see her go. We enjoyed a cruise on her in '97. I was always disappointed that I could not have enjoyed her when she sailed in her glory as the France.
