Hello everyone! Guess I'll start the thread today - I've never started one, so here goes.

Sorry no poem - I am poetically challenged, more of a computer/math geek.

Hope everyone is keeping cool. Yesterday, it was 104 here in northern New Jersey.

Lost 2.2 lbs. this week. I have been having lighter dinners at night - with all this heat, I don't feel like cooking much.

Thanks for starting the weigh-in.

I'm throwing a wrench into the losing trend so far, stayed the same, for the 2nd week in a row.

On a good note I had lost 4 lbs. and that's staying off so that's a good thing. I'll continue to work hard and hope to see a loss next week.

Good luck to everyone.

Hi, all -

Thanks, Jean, for starting the thread. Somehow, the original list I was on disappeared - guess I was the only one to hang on (started in Jan. - "Lose 50 lbs. by October"). Well, I'm still at it - down 49 lbs. so far. This has been a pretty good week - who wants to eat with this heat????

Cruise is 9/17, so I'm hoping for another 10 lbs. by then. Have been going to "Cuts for Woman" (like Curves - geared to the "unfit and feeble") three times a week - want to get up to four if possible, but at least it's something. One gal who goes the same days that I do and also does WW is down 76 lbs. which is great.

Jean - I see you are in Andover - do you know the Peronas? They own the "Cozy Cat" boarding/grooming place? We belong to the same cat club.

I lost 2 pounds this week! :)

But today is my anniversary (our 4th) so DH and I are going to a really nice restaurant tomorrow night to celebrate. I'm going to let myself splurge a little bit; I just hope I don't regain those two pounds I just lost!

Thanks everyone! You all are doing so well!

Today it has "cooled down" to 94 degrees. I'm staying in my office today.

Gerif - No, we don't know the Peronas personally. We have eaten at Perona Farms (great place). We used to board our two cats at Cozy Cat all the time, but when we got a new cat, they would not accept her. (I hope it had nothing to do with Pinky tearing the curtains on her last visit...) So now we board our cat at a vet's place in Netcong.

hehe, uh, no. that would be some EXTREME dieting. sounds like a reality tv show...EXTREME DIETING...starring Richard Simmons..:p

No, i began dieting/exercising beginning of June. I was so tired of not fitting in my clothes. I cant afford new ones and i refuse to buy bigger, so i said enough is enough. ;)
