We need to rent a wheelchair for our September 9th sailing of the Oosterdam. I have been told there is a company in Seattle where you can rent the wheelchair and they will have it on ship waiting for you when you arrive. Then, you just leave it in the cabin when you leave the ship. Does anyone know the name of this company - maybe a phone number or website? Thanks!

I believe the company you are looking for is Care Vacations. They have a website at http://www.carevacations.com/. Click on the Care Vacations logo on the left side of the screen for equipment information. They deliver wheelchairs to HAL ships in lots of different ports. You just leave the chair in the room when you disembark. We used them once and it was painless. Not inexpensive, but very convenient.
