Wow, I had heard of the Carnival Valor coming out in the fall, but I never even heard of the Diamond Princess till now. I just hope these two new ships aren't as gaudy and tacky as the Miracle. Phew. I know Carnival likes to make their ships colorful, but dam n, it's almost like hillbilly chic. The one room "Frankenstein Room" is ugly as heck.

Okay, I'm confused. The Diamond Princess is a Carnival ship? Princess Cruises has a ship named Diamond Princess. Could that be the ship to which you are referring?

I think the poster meant that Carnival now owns Princess, thus making the Diamond Princess a Carnival ship. It is indeed a Princess ship, sister to the Sapphire and Coral.

Diamond Princess is PRINCESS, not Carnival.
Yes, CCL owns Princess now, but they are still 2 seperate entities.
